Sound Art and Music Performance

Timjune is a visual artist and experimental vocalist based in Helsinki. With a vocal range beyond four octaves, his voice simulates natural movements and social landscapes, transcending gender and the boundaries between humans and nature.

Through reconstructing image, sound, and his vocal experiments, he expends photographic art into multi-sensory installation and performance, re-imagining surreal, fable-like utopias rooted in harsh realities, illuminating parallel trajectories between individuals and communities and the ever-changing natural environment in the Anthropocene era.

Timjune has performed and showcased his photography-sound project Today, Tomorrow, and the Tales from the Wind at the OPIA Launch Night (presented by musician Ólafur Arnalds) at Silent Green Berlin (DE), Künstlerstadt Kalbe (DE), Crypt Gallery London (UK), SIM Residency Reykjavik (IS), Kotka Art Biennale (FI), Design Museum of Barcelona (ES), Myymälä2 Gallery (FI), Stockholm Fringe Festival (SE), Outsider Art Festival (Fi), and the Finnish Museum of Theatre (FI).

His project Singing Walk went viral on social media since 2023, garnering over 10 million views and attracting 130K+ followers.
